Lusaka High Court Judge Florence Lengalenga recently bemoaned the lack of seriousness portrayed by police officers in prosecuting people accused of serious non-bailable offences.

She said this during the trial of two Lusaka juveniles facing a murder charge.

Judge Lengalenga said this after Sub Inspector Kabungo of Chelston Police Station told her he could not attend the previous court sessions because his child was unwell and he had failed to secure the attendance of witnesses at that hearing.   FULL STORY
