Chawama MMD Chair Lady Swindles Woman By Delphine Hampande Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) Chawama chair lady has been sued for allegedly swindling a fellow woman from the same area. Maureen Mulenga has however complained that even if she sued the chair lady, she has not appeared in court. She said court clerks have not given her any notice of hearing but keep on changing dates on the receipts that she used to buy summons. She said when Ms Mwanachilangwa became MMD Chawama chair lady, she introduced a system of giving loans to any body who qualified. She said Mwanachilangwa had put a condition of paying K200, 000.00 for one to get K1m. She said some two years ago she paid Mwanachilangwa K1.6m in order for her to get K6m because it was a large amount. Maureen said she waited for a long period of time and all she was told was that she would be given the money. Maureen said she has now decided to seek legal advice from Chawama Legal Resources Foundation LRF advice centre in order for it to assist her get her money back. The office told her that it will carry out investigations at the courts before taking any step |
